July means Mill Tech is honoring another one of our great employees with the Employee Spotlight, Cody Cronebach.
Cody joined the Mill Tech team in March of this year as part of our engineering department. Working as a draftsman, Cody works on completing our company’s shop drawings for various projects. As a new employee, Cody has doesn’t have a favorite project, however, he is excited about the projects we have worked on such as the new Crew Training Facility. He enjoyed seeing it from shop drawings phase to being completed in our shop.
In the months that he has been with us, Cody has integrated himself as part of the Mill Tech team and has become an important part of it. He was nominated for the Employee Spotlight due to his hard work and his attention to detail. This results in fewer mistakes on shop drawings and on the shop floor.
In his free time, Cody enjoys spending time going to Crew games as well as playing video games and working in his garage. With his many talents, he has no problems tackling new challenges we give him every day We are blessed to have Cody as part of the Mill Tech team. We look forward to his bright future with us.
Happy June! Here at Mill Tech, we wanted to honor one of our hard workers with this month’s Employee Spotlight, Mike Preston.
Mike has been with Mill Tech for four years and works in our laminate department. Mike has worked on most projects that have included laminate countertops during that time. One of his favorite projects was setting up the laminate department in our new facility and getting a start fresh with a new area.
Mike has always been a hard worker and was nominated for all that he has done in the laminate department and for continuing to improve. His piece of advice to new employees; “Go above and beyond without being told”.
Outside of work Mike enjoys relaxing on the couch and fishing. Mike has competed in multiple fishing competitions winning various placements and awards. Mill Tech is grateful to have Mike as an employee and we look forward to his continued leadership the laminate department.
Mill Tech is taking time today to remember and honor those that have sacrificed and served for our freedoms.
During the month of May, Mill Tech wants to introduce you to one of our amazing employees, Jim Allen.
Jim has been one of Mill Tech’s Master Craftsmen since 2004. Since joining our team, he has worked on quite a few of the projects that have come and gone through Mill Tech’s doors. With a consistent eye when it comes to attention and detail, he ensures quality products for our customers. Jim works in our custom department building custom projects including Reception Desks, Nurses Stations, and high-end profile units.
Over the years Jim has been with Mill Tech, he has been awarded a BX Craftsmanship award for the work he completed for OSU’s Student Athletic Development Center. Jim has also completed work for The Grove City Library and Mellow Mushroom which he considers to be some of his favorite projects. It is with great pride that we introduce you to one of our best, Jim Allen.
August has proven to be a busy month for construction and as a result a busy month for Mill Tech. For this month Mill Tech is honoring an employee that had proven to be willing to step up to the plate time and time again. Meet Bryan Berry.
Bryan has been with Mill Tech for nearly two years, joining Mill Tech after he had seen an ad and reached out to another employee that was working for our company at that time. Bryan has taken control of our solid surface department since coming to work for Mill Tech and has assisted with setting up the department in our new facility. Additionally, Bryan has helped with installation for some of our projects when the need has come up.
Bryan has proven to be willing to step up when needed time and time again and is proud of everything that he does. With the pride he has in his work, he does not have a favorite project that he has worked on other than the jokes he has pulled on fellow coworkers. He holds the personal philosophy of: “If everyone works a little harder, everyone’s life gets a lot easier.”
Bryan has several interests outside of work. In his free time, Bryan can be found lifting weights or playing disk golf. Bryan also enjoys attending concerts when he has the opportunity.
Mill Tech is proud of Bryan and all he does for us and greatly appreciates his hard work. We are looking forward to his continued growth with the company and where his future may be with us.
We are well into summer now and progressing through the month of July and looking at August being just around the corner. For July Mill Tech is honoring an employee that has been nominated for the employee spotlight every month since we first started it. This employee works hard and is always willing to step in to assist others and their coworkers take notice of this. Meet Dan Walpole.
Dan has been with Mill Tech for nearly eight years, joining Mill Tech after hearing about us through the company he had been working with at that time. Since joining us, Dan has helped transform our engineering department and has taken on a leadership role there as our senior engineer. Additionally, he has assisted in implementing new software for the company and has helped Mill Tech adapt to the needed changes.
Over the years Dad has been able to work closely with customers, suppliers, and coworkers alike as an engineer, often working out issues in drawings and finding solutions for more difficult projects. One of his favorite projects that he has worked on with Mill Tech was for Fairfield Medical Center. The project called for a large number of wall panels that spanned across multiple walls and the ceiling using a system Mill Tech had not used before. Dan enjoyed working with figuring out how to configure the panels in a way that streamlined the entire process from production to installation.
Dan has stood by Mill Tech’s side through various troubles the company has faced over the years and is proud of how everyone here acts to come together during these times. Dan feels those new to Mill Tech should strive to learn new things to grow with the company and he noted that his philosophy in life is:
“You get what you give! Your experiences in life are molded by your outlook on life. If you constantly have a negative attitude, then all you are going to see is the negative in every situation.”
Outside of work, Dan holds a multitude of interests. He plays guitar and Mill Tech employees have even had the opportunity to listen to him play at a number of our company outings along with May’s employee spotlight winner Rodney Credico. Dan also enjoys traveling in addition to riding his motorcycle.
Mill Tech is incredibly proud of Dan and is grateful for all that he does for the company. We look forward to Dan’s continued future with Mill Tech and the growth he and the company will get to experience together.
June is in full swing and with construction continuing, Mill Tech is continuing to manufacture cabinets and install them for our customers. With our June employee spotlight, we are honoring one of our lead installers. Meet Jim Gornall.
Jim has been with Mill Tech for the past four years and as a result, has been able to see many of our projects through to the end. For years he has dedicated his time to make sure that our work is installed properly, and everything is up to Mill Tech’s high standards. He was nominated for his hard work and his attention to detail.
In his four years with Mill Tech Jim has been there to see many of our projects through to the end both as an installer as well as managing a few. He works to treat each project the same, both large and small to ensure a quality installation. Even with a wide array of projects to choose from, Jim has a hard time picking a favorite as he has enjoyed most of the projects he has worked on.
Jim holds a personal philosophy that one should live life in the moment and also feels that people should do their job to the best of their ability and to own up to their mistakes. With Jim’s proven work ethic and attention to detail we appreciate that his wife had sent him a link so that he could learn about our company years ago.
In his time off Jim enjoys spending time with friends and family. He enjoys spending time with them on a patio outside and playing with his grandkids. Jim also enjoys brewing his own beer in his spare time.
Mill Tech appreciates Jim and all he does for the company and looks forward to our future continuing to work with him.
Mill Tech is proud of all its employees, from those employees that have been with us for years, to those employees that are just now joining the company. With the month of May we continue to recognize our excellent employees with our monthly employee spotlight position. We would like you to meet Rodney Credico.
Rodney has been with Mill Tech since 2000, joining soon after Mill Tech opened its doors for the first time. Joining in our founding year, Rodney has been with us for over twenty years now. Since joining Mill Tech’s team he’s moved on from working on our shop floor as a foreman to his current position as our senior project manager.
Rodney has been working as one of our top project managers since 2011, working closely with our customers and making sure that our projects remain on track. Rodney puts in hard work every day he is at Mill Tech, and his coworkers notice. Rodney was nominated by multiple employees for the May Employee Spotlight due to his constant dedication to his job, his diligence in his job duties, as well as his dedication to his fellow employees.
Rodney keeps the philosophy that you should treat others the way you would like to be treated and it shows with the support he offers to other Mill Tech employees despite his busy schedule. He also believes that new employees should learn all they can, work hard and good things will come their way.
Outside of work Rodney enjoys playing guitar and had previously played in a band. Additionally, Rodney enjoys spending time with others, looking forward to events where he can spend time with his friends and family. Rodney can also be found enjoying his free time out on the greens of a golf course.
Mill Tech is grateful for all that Rodney has done for the company over the years and is excited for his continued work with the company in the future.
April has proven to be a chaotic month for the world. While Mill Tech continues to provide for our customers and community, we also want to continue honoring the employees we have and all that they do. One employee, in particular, has continued to surpass our expectations of them, so for the month of April, they were awarded the Employee Spotlight. Meet Jacob Fromerth.
Jake first started with Mill Tech a few years ago by working in our assembly department. When he first started with Mill Tech, he had been pursuing a degree for engineering but wanted to find something else. He took the time to tour different cabinetry shops and quickly settled in for a new position with our company. Over time, Jake has continued to show an aptitude at learning new skills and helping to better his peers.
In 2019 Jake was one of the crew members with a Mill Tech team that was awarded a BX Craftsmanship Award for their contributions to the OSU Student Athletic Development Center. As one of his favorite projects that he has worked with Mill Tech on, Jake worked in assembling and upfitting the numerous cabinets and lockers that were installed at the facility. Jake remains proud of his work and the award he received for the project to this day.
At our new facility, Jake now works in our engineering department as our draftsman. He has been working hard to learn new software to help Mill Tech continue to grow while continuing to help his fellow coworkers, even if it is just to make them laugh with a bad joke. Mill Tech is proud and honored to have Jake as an employee and we look forward to continuing to work with him and watching his growth with our company. We are incredibly grateful for all the hard work he as put in as well as the assistance he has provided for those around him
Here at Mill Tech we have several impressive employees, each with their own talents and traits that have helped us grow as a company over the years. We couldn’t be more grateful for what all of our employees bring to the table and we want to show everyone else how incredible the individuals that work for us are as well. Starting this month Mill Tech is developing an Employee Spotlight that aims to honor one of our talented employees each month and show them off to others here on our website and social media accounts.
For the month of March fellow employees and administration nominated and selected one employee that we felt deserved the first Employee Spotlight for the year. Meet Luke Markley.
Luke Markley works in Mill Tech’s milling department in our Manufacturing Division. He worked mostly with our CNC router before we move into our new facility. After the move into our new facility, we purchased new state of the art equipment. Luke has been one of the employees spearheading implementing and operating our new StoreTek, Beam Saw and CNC new router. He was formally trained on the new equipment off-site and showed an impressive ability to recall this training when implementation began. Luke has continued to take the lead in this department and when working with our new equipment. Luke has also assisted in training coworkers in using our new equipment. He stated that one of his favorite projects with Mill Tech has been learning and working with our new equipment and he recommends employees take any chance to learn as much as you can.
Mill Tech is incredibly grateful for all the hard work that Luke puts in each day and we look forward to his future here at Mill Tech.
We’re proud of every single one of our projects. In fact, we are so committed to exacting precision and innovation in our work because we want to be proud of all of our projects. Some projects, however, give us a different sort of pride and satisfaction.
The Arthur G. H. Bing, MD Cancer Center is one of those projects.
When the folks from the Bing Cancer Center hired us, they wanted us to come up with some ideas and design solutions for their atrium. They wanted a space that everyone there could enjoy. They requested a custom reception desk, custom cabinetry through the location, and a replacement of the existing four-story vinyl paneled system that was already on their atrium wall.
We took to the task with our signature dedication, precision, and creativity. We also came to it with compassion. We wanted it to become the sort of space might bring a little peace some very difficult days.
And we think we succeeded in that mission.
We’re pleased to report that the people at the Bing Cancer Center were thrilled with the finished product and the way that it enhances the space. And though we’re certainly proud of our work, we’re even happier that this project is something that enhances our Central Ohio community on a regular basis.
